Standard Unix epoch timestamps in seconds are 10 digits long (e.g., 1700000000 for November 2023). JavaScript timestamps in milliseconds are 13 digits long (e.g., 1700000000000). The engine applies a threshold heuristic of 30,000,000,000 (3×10¹⁰): any value below this threshold is parsed as seconds, and any value above is parsed as milliseconds.
